My Specialties

I am a Pediatric Critical Care Physician by training. Having spent the past 15 years in medicine, this site is intended to provide some links and references for my clinical passions in ECMO and Trimethoprim-Sulfamethoxazole Associated Respiratory Failure.

Additionally, this site brings a voice to the infertility journey many in medicine face and that I have gained knowledge about through my own experience.

Fertility

After years of advocating locally for women in medicine and their fertility, I wrote “Navigating your Fertility as a Woman in Medicine” to outline my journey and tips for others. I am hoping to provide ongoing support to those in medicine who find themselves wishing to plan for a family.

Bactrim

Trimethoprim-Sulfamethoxazole can be associated with respiratory failure. Dr. Jennifer Goldman and I have published the first series and description of these patients. We continue to look for additional patients and consult with physicians/patients/families who are considering this diagnosis.
