About ECMO

I am the current Pediatric Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) director and have over 10 years of experience managing ECMO patients. I have a particular love for VV ECMO and work to mobilize and extubate patients as much as possible.

The Pediatric ECMO program I lead has been featured in CNN Health, The Daily Beast, and the New York Times. The program’s outcomes are at or above International Extracorporeal Live Support Organization (ELSO) reported outcomes and has managed over 1000 pediatric and neonatal ECMO patients since the program began.

The program collaborates at the national level with ELSO and multiple institutions on innovative ECMO management strategies.
